The Quad City Symphony Orchestra Association is the largest provider of free instrumental music education outreach programs in Quad City service region and the only organization to offer its programs at no cost to the school, student or parent groups. Three touring ensembles, Brass, String and Woodwind travel within a 35 mile radius of the Quad Cities to Iowa and Illinois schools(including many rural districts) on a rotating basis reaching more than 14,000 students. Symphony Day brings 7,000 fourth and fifth graders to the Adler Theatre every year. Listening Olympics, a new QCSO education program strengthens the music curriculum of more than sixty elementary school classrooms throughout the Quad Cities. Training in music performance is provided for approximately 120 accomplished young musicians through the QCSO's Youth Symphony Orchestra and Youth String Ensemble. QCSOA music programs are fully integrated into the curriculum of area school districts and address the general decline in local public school funding of arts education.

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra performs twelve subscription concerts, a Riverfront Pops Concert and Holiday Pops Concert. Saturday evening subscription concerts are held at the Adler Theatre, Davenport while Sunday afternoon subscription concerts are performed at Centennial Hall, Augustana College, Rock Island. Additional performance events include Youth Symphony Orchestra concerts and a chamber music series.
