Annual Fund

The mission of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra Association is to enrich the cultural life of the Quad City region by presenting and maintaining symphonic music of the highest artistic quality and by providing comprehensive music education.

Your Donation Helps to...

  • Enrich the Quad City area's diverse community. For more than 95 years, the Quad City Symphony Orchestra has presented symphonic music and music education of the highest quality, adding cultural vitality to our schools and communities.
  • Present over 20 concerts every year. The QCSO's season includes a Masterworks Series regularly featuring world-renowned guest soloists; exhilarating community celebrations such as Riverfront Pops on the banks of the Mississippi River; the festive Holiday Pops featuring two choirs totaling 300 voices, the Quad City Arts Visiting Artist, and Cirque de la Symphonie in 2009; the new Spring Pops pairing rock 'n roll acts with orchestra backgrounds; and a growing Chamber Music Series.
  • Encourage the love of music in more than 50,000 children annually. The QCSO runs many educational programs including Symphony Day; Hot Dog! We're Going to Symphony!; woodwind, brass, and string school outreach tours; Instruments for Kids; Listening Olympics; Inside the Music; and more! In the fall of 2009, the QCSO hired a full-time Director of Education and Community Engagement, Melinda Hubbell.
  • Reach over 80,000 area residents with the highest quality of symphonic music. During the 2009-10 season, the QCSO will be available free of charge to residents across Iowa and Illinois thanks to partnerships with Iowa Public Television and Iowa and Illinois Public Radio stations.
