Midori will be an artist in residence with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra in April 2011, performing with both the QCSO and the Youth Orchestra. We encourage you and your students to take this opportunity to learn from this world-renowned violinist. Below is a partial Listing of her scheduled activities. Meet and Eat with Midori
Below are two great opportunities to meet world-renowned violinist Midori and get a sneak peak into next year's Masterworks series from the Maestro himself. "Mi-Do-Ri" Composition Contest

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce the winners of the "Mi-Do-Ri" Young Composer Competition. The following pieces met all the contest requirements and creatively expounded upon the "Mi-Do-Ri" theme. They will be presented at the "Mi-Do-Ri" Composition Contest Performance on April 15 at 5 PM in the Adler Theatre:

Midori's concerts with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra and the Quad City Youth Symphony Orchestra are part of her Orchestra Residencies Program, a special project which aims to strengthen the ties of American youth orchestra to its local adult orchestra, as well as bolster relationships with performers, staff, and the community.
